SHORT HEIGHT – BLUE TO BLUE-GREEN LEAVES
CAN BE USED AS GROUND COVER
This species of blue, crawling fern is native to regions of the southeastern U.S., down through Mexico and Central American and into the Caribbean and South America. It gets to heights of about two to three feet and is rhizomatous in nature. It can slowly spread along the ground but is easy to control. Leaf color is definitely a blue or blue-green color. It can be used as a ground cover as shown below. It likes filtered light and is cold hardy into the twenties F.
