This is a dwarf green cycad that is native to Mexico. It is known for grouping of the leaflets. By this I mean several leaflets on the stem together with a gap before the next group of leaflets. The individual leaflets are wide. Plant caudexes never get too large – an 8 to 10 inch would be the biggest you’ll see. They can sucker. Leaves are green and overall height is rarely over six feet. They prefer filtered light. Cold hardy is estimated to be to the low 20’s F. We’re putting plants with various sizes caudexes on sale as shown below. Some are coning size.
